November 16, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

A rescue helicopter was called in on Sunday to locate a trailbike rider suffering from dehydration who was lost north of Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

The man, aged in his 40s, called for help as temperatures soared in the area.<\/p>\n

He explained that he had been riding by himself when he became lost and only had limited water.<\/p>\n

After a ground search failed to locate him, the police requested the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter to start searching for the man.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soon after arriving at the man’s last known co-ordinates, the rescue chopper crew located the man at a remote hut on top of a hill.<\/p>\n

The crew landed near the hut and the aeromedical team then walked a short distance to assess the man.<\/p>\n

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the man was suffering severe dehydration and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
