October 30, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced on Friday that more NSW residents will be allowed to enter Queensland from 1:00am on Tuesday, November 3.<\/p>\n

However, the greater Sydney area (which consists of 32 Local Government Areas, see list below) and Victoria will remain declared hotspots.<\/p>\n

People who have been in a hotspot during the past 14 days will still not be allowed to enter Queensland.<\/p>\n

The council areas declared hotspots in greater Sydney are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Camden, Campbelltown, Canada Bay, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Inner West, Ku-Ring-Gai, Lane Cove, Liverpool, Mosman, North Sydney, Northern Beaches, Parramatta, Penrith, Randwick, Ryde, Strathfield, Sutherland Shire, Sydney, The Hills Shire, Waverley, Willoughby, Wollondilly and Woollahra and unincorporated Sydney Harbour.<\/p>\n

NB. Until 1:00am on November 3,\u00a0\u00a0all parts of NSW are still considered to be COVID-19 hotspots.<\/em><\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Other changes to Border Restrictions came into effect at 3:00pm on Friday (October 30):<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Border Declaration Passes are now valid for 14 days (up from seven)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Unaccompanied minors are allowed to enter Queensland if there is a responsible adult who consents to quarantine in government-arranged accommodation with the child<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Disaster management workers can enter Queensland to prepare for, respond to or assist in recovery from disasters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • People who travel to quarantine or leave quarantine for permitted purposes – such as a person travelling in a taxi – must travel in the back seat on the passenger side<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • People in quarantine must wear a mask whenever directed to by an emergency officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • People who are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test are not allowed to enter Queensland until they receive a negative result, unless they are entering for an essential activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
