Taabinga State School will receive $10,000 from the Federal Government\u2019s Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program.<\/p>\n

Agriculture Minister and Member for Maranoa David Littleproud announced the funding on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He said it would allow the school to upgrade its existing memorial in the school grounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMaranoa has a proud military history and I congratulate Taabinga State School for their work in honouring those who have served our country in the Navy, Army and Air Force,” Mr Littleproud said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis project is especially important for its role in teaching the next generation about the crucial role of our service personnel and recognising their courage and sacrifice in serving our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Flynn electorate, a grant was made to the\u00a0Boondooma Museum and Heritage Association\u00a0to install more commemorative plaques on their World War I wall and to create a memorial garden at Boondooma Homestead.<\/p>\n
