Sister Dior (Year 1) and Diya Sanju (Year 6) had an extra reason to celebrate Book Week this year … the pair took part in the Premier’s Reading Challenge and managed an amazing 50 books between them!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Schools throughout the South Burnett have been celebrating Book Week this week with plenty of colourful characters coming to life off the pages of children’s books and movies.<\/p>\n

It was the turn of St Mary’s Catholic College on Friday with students from Prep to Grade 6 turning out in quirky costumes at the morning school parade.<\/p>\n

There were pirates, princesses, firemen and even a few super heroes.<\/p>\n

Prizes were given for the best costumes in each year.<\/p>\n

The teachers also joined in the fun … with a whole bunch of Wild Thornberrys making an appearance!<\/p>\n
