The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting a special business breakfast on Thursday, November 5, at Kingaroy Town Hall.<\/p>\n

Doors will open at 6:30am for a 7:00am start – but bookings are a must!<\/p>\n

\u201cBe sure to grab your ticket early, this one will sell out fast,\u201d KCCI president Damien Martoo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Saucy Fork chef Roberta Schablon will be creating breakfast from a selection of locavore ingredients from the South Burnett and neighbouring regions.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoberta has been working with producers with a passion and vision to bring the Farm to Fork locavore movement into reality in the South Burnett.’<\/p>\n

Mr Martoo said the breakfast aimed “to bring the strength of the South Burnett\u2019s business community together to think about the change our region would like to see and be a part of into the future”.<\/p>\n

Guest speaker will be Gympie Chamber of Commerce president Tony Goodman who will share how he has led the business community, advocating with all levels of government, to pursue the goals and aspirations of Gympie\u2019s business community.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Gympie Chamber is fiercely independent, and we look forward to learning more about the change they\u2019ve influenced, and their continued advocacy with council and their State and Federal members,\u201d\u00a0 Mr Martoo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the start of many conversations KCCI are planning into the new year about shaping our future together and taking advantage of the tree change opportunities brought by the COVID pandemic.”<\/p>\n

The breakfast will be compered by Cr Kirstie Schumacher.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all work, live and play in an amazing region, and I believe there are many incredible opportunities on our doorstep, ready for the taking,\u201d Cr Schumacher said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, this breakfast is about unity, standing together as a region and daring to think big and starting a new conversation, collectively recognising our potential not for tomorrow, but for today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world is shifting and I applaud the KCCI for bringing everyone together with a view to grow the pie, not just the slice.”<\/p>\n

Mr Goodman operates Bella Casa Gympie, a large furniture, homewares and gifts store.<\/p>\n

He has instigated late-night shopping events and four major street festivals in Mary Street, Gympie, that attract crowds of up to 5000.<\/p>\n

\u201cTony is currently working with the Gympie business community to re-design Gympie\u2019s approach to its economic development strategy and I welcome the opportunity to learn from the experiences of our neighbouring region,\u201d Cr Schumacher said.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the business breakfast are $35 each.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, bookings are limited to 100 guests.<\/p>\n
