Men\u2019s Sheds have been encouraged to apply for funding as part of the latest round of the National Men\u2019s Shed Development Program.<\/p>\n

Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien said Round 21 would prioritise applications with a strong emphasis on health, wellbeing or safety, in acknowledgement of the impact of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Projects procuring IT equipment and training to boost connectivity within the community will also be prioritised.<\/p>\n

\u201cLocal Men\u2019s and Community Sheds have become some of the most important organisations in their area, where members make meaningful social connections, serve their community, and assist with practical measures to help other local organisations,\u201d Mr O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year with the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheds have been a focal point for their communities, and have demonstrated the mental and physical health benefits, and general well-being that community involvement can bring.”<\/p>\n
