October 19, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

A large grass fire burning near Farr Court at Wattle Camp was creating a lot of smoke for nearby residents on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

At 5:00pm, there were 17 fire units at the blaze, which broke out about 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

At 5:15pm, QFES issued a notification about the fire.<\/p>\n

“This fire is posing no threat to property at this time but is producing a lot of smoke,” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Residents should keep windows and doors closed and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.<\/p>\n

“Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.”<\/p>\n
