October 19, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Voting in the 2020 State election is officially under way with early voting centres opening across Queensland on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

A steady stream of vehicles was coming into the Kingaroy Showgrounds to park near the booth soon after it opened.<\/p>\n

Volunteers from the LNP, One Nation and the ALP were busily handing out how-to-vote cards.<\/p>\n

Electoral officials were also making sure that the volunteers were adhering to the rules … keeping the correct distance away from the polling place and staying COVID Safe.<\/p>\n

The early voting centres will remain open until October 30 (see times below).<\/p>\n

The official Election Day is Saturday, October 31.<\/p>\n

NB.\u00a0 If you have applied for a postal vote, you will receive your ballot paper in the mail. The Electoral Commission of Queensland is urging people who have applied for a postal vote to follow the instructions and complete their vote straight away. They must vote before 6:00pm on October 31 and the ECQ must receive it by November 10.<\/em><\/p>\n

Early voting will run until Friday, October 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The official election day is Saturday, October 31.<\/p>\n
