Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The LNP has challenged an ABC news story claiming the party has referred Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington to the Electoral Commission of Queensland for investigation.<\/p>\n

ABC News reported on Tuesday morning that Mrs Frecklington had been “referred to the election watchdog by her own party”.<\/p>\n

The report suggested LNP officials feared\u00a0“fundraising for her campaign may have broken laws aimed at curbing the political influence of developers”.<\/p>\n

However, an official statement from the LNP refutes this.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ABC’s allegation that the LNP has referred Deb Frecklington to the ECQ is false. It has not,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
