The Greens have snatched the top spot on the ballot paper for the State seat of Callide – which stretches south to include part of the Bunya Mountains.<\/p>\n

The ballot draw was officially completed on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Anthony Walsh (The Greens) is followed, in ballot paper order, by Gordon Earnshaw (ALP), sitting Member Colin Boyce (LNP) and two independent candidates, Adam Burling and Loris Doessel.<\/p>\n

Ms Doessel is a former Mundubbera Shire councillor who is campaigning in favour of voluntary assisted dying (euthanasia).<\/p>\n

Postal Votes<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Applications for postal votes for the State Election close at 7:00pm on Friday (October 16).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any elector can apply for a postal vote\u00a0online<\/a><\/strong>, by calling 1300-881-665 or by downloading and returning this\u00a0form<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(221kb PDF)<\/p>\n

Pre-Poll Voting<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Early voting opens next Monday (October 19) and will run until Friday, October 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The official election day is Saturday, October 31.<\/p>\n

The nearest early polling locations for the southern end of the Callide Electorate will be located at:<\/em><\/p>\n
