One Nation candidate Tony Scrimshaw has drawn the valuable top spot on the Nanango ballot paper for the State Election.<\/p>\n

The ballot draw was conducted at Nanango Showgrounds on Sunday afternoon after the official close of nominations for the October 31 poll.<\/p>\n

Sitting member, LNP Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington, has drawn second spot.<\/p>\n

Other candidates, in ballot paper order, are Mark Stapleton (ALP), Maggie O’Rance (Legalise Cannabis Qld) and John Harbison (The Greens).<\/p>\n

The draw was conducted by Returning Officer Ann Bichel.<\/p>\n

Postal Votes<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Applications for postal votes for the State Election close at 7:00pm on Friday (October 16).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any elector can apply for a postal vote\u00a0online<\/a><\/strong>, by calling 1300-881-665 or by downloading and returning this\u00a0form<\/a><\/strong> (221kb PDF)<\/p>\n

Pre-Poll Voting<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Early voting opens next Monday (October 19) and will run until Friday, October 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The official election day is Saturday, October 31.<\/p>\n
