Audience numbers are limited to just 24 for each session of Nanango Theatre Company’s upcoming short season of romantic comedies – so you’d better book your tickets straight away!<\/p>\n

The NTC’s first production for 2020,\u00a0dubbed “Make It A Date!”,\u00a0 is a collection of four one-act plays: “Blind Date”, by Peter Quilter; “Short Term Affairs”, by Donna Spector; “Pastiche”, by Nick Hall; and “The Un-Cucumber Man”, by Ian Austin.<\/p>\n

They will be staged under a COVID Safe plan at the NTC’s theatre building on the corner of Elk and George streets, Nanango, on October 23-24 and 30-31 at 7:00pm plus a matinee session from 1:30pm on October 24.<\/p>\n

A second matinee session on October 31 has also been pencilled in but has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Bookings – in cash – can be made at the Nanango Visitor Information Centre (the Energy Museum) in Henry Street.<\/p>\n

The four comedies – who doesn’t need a laugh in 2020? – promise to provide a huge night of fun entertainment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

” ‘Pastiche’ is an English fast-paced situational comedy that we presented 10 years ago, and has a strong cast,” NTC president Jon Fearnley said.<\/p>\n

It’s being directed by Anne Davoren.<\/p>\n

“Anne also directs ‘Blind Date’, a short reflection of the difficulties of mature people dating, and featuring Lloyd Macpherson and new member Karen Denniss,” Jon said.<\/p>\n

“Brad and Kieran Boynton then feature in the witty ‘Short Term Affairs’ that examines the elements of attraction and how personal differences affect relationships.”<\/p>\n

Jon is directing this play.<\/p>\n

“The program finishes with the comedy of errors, ‘The Un-Cucumber Man’, by Queensland playwright Ian Austin. Also directed by Anne Davoren, it features a strong cast of Des Moore, Valerie Mathews, Mattia Micco Iraci, Mathew Carlson\u00a0and newcomer Kelsey Anderson,” Jon said.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $20 (adults) and $15 (concession).<\/p>\n
