Applications opened on Monday (September 14) for postal voting for the upcoming State Election.<\/p>\n

The Electoral Commission of Queensland has opened postal vote applications earlier than usual because of the expected greater demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Postal vote applications will close on October 16.<\/p>\n

Anyone can apply for a postal vote but the actual ballot paper will only be mailed out after candidate nominations close and the ballot is drawn in mid-October.<\/p>\n

The ECQ said postal voters should fill in their ballot paper as soon as they receive it and mail it back straight away.<\/p>\n
