September 10, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanango Race Club will be holding its Nanango Cup Race Meeting at the Lee Park Racecourse on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Nanango Cup is always one of the club’s most prestigious race meetings of the year, and it is usually held each August.<\/p>\n

This year the Cup race was postponed to September due to COVID-19 issues.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s card will feature five races and the Nanango Cup will be decided in Race 4.<\/p>\n

The meeting will also offer guests an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Champagne@TheBit Cocktail Bar.<\/p>\n

The meeting’s theme is “Classic Spring Racewear” and guests who dress to it can win prizes in the spot Fashions Of The Field competition.<\/p>\n

Once again, however, guests will be asked to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These will include a different servery area for food and drinks; lawn seating rather than undercover seating; registering your contact details at the ticket office; and maintaining correct social distancing on course.<\/p>\n

Buses will be leaving Kingaroy’s Glendon Street Bus Depot at 12:00 noon and the Fitzroy Hotel at 12:30pm.<\/p>\n

Gates will open about 11:00am with Race 1 leaving the barriers at 1:30pm.<\/p>\n
