Zillman of Gayndah, which sold to an average $4.59\/kg at $1012 in a very strong market (Photo: Pratt Agencies)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>September 9, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prattagencies.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by Pratt Agencies<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Agents yarded 714 head at the fortnightly Fat and Store sale in Murgon on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Export cattle remained firm on previous sales, and weaner cattle sold to a very strong market once again.<\/p>\n<p>Cattle for the sale were drawn from Gayndah, Kilcoy, Nanango, Proston, Cushnie, Wondai, Goomeri, Wooroonden and Murgon districts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sale results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heavy bulls topped at $3.18\/kg and $2532<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bullocks sold to $3.59\/kg and $1852<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Heavy cows over 500kg topped at $2.85\/kg and $1780, averaging $2.77<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cows 400-500kg sold to $2.69\/kg for a $2.57 average<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lighter cows under 400kg topped at $2.48\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Export heifers sold to $3.54\/kg, returning $1859<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Hereford steers from Memerambi sold for $3.59\/kg at $1813<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>420kg Gelbvieh cross steers from Nanango sold to $3.68\/kg, returning $1486<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Local Charolais steers weighing 350kg sold for $3.94\/kg at $1376<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Local 336kg Droughtmaster cross steers sold to $3.93\/kg to return $1321<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Angus cross weaner steers from Goomeri sold for $4.20\/kg at $1178<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A draft of quality Santa weaner steers from Gayndah sold for $4.58\/kg to top at $1096<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Other light weight weaner steers sold out to a top of $4.46\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Local Charolais cross heifers sold to $3.70\/kg to return $1412<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>415kg Charbray heifers from Kilcoy sold to $3.37\/kg and $1399<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Brangus heifers from Wondai sold for $1243 at $3.32\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Angus cross heifers weighing 286kg sold for $3.79\/kg at $1086<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Gelbvieh\u00a0cross weaner heifers from Goomeri sold to $3.94\/kg and $847<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lightweight weaner heifers sold out to a top of $4\/kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A small number of cows and calves were yarded and sold to $1610<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Upcoming sales:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Special Store Sale at Coolabunia Saleyards on Thursday, September 10 at 9:00am<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Next Fat and Store Sale at Murgon and Coolabunia is on Tuesday, September 22 2020 at 8:00am<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agents yarded 714 head at the fortnightly Fat and Store sale in Murgon on Tuesday. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":275429,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,36],"tags":[28,1134],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
