South Burnett Regional Council is looking for more volunteers to help look after its Visitor Information Centres\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

August 27, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council has put a call out for people interested in volunteering at its Visitor Information Centres.<\/p>\n

The centres are located in Blackbutt, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon.<\/p>\n

“Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from friendly, motivated and passionate community members,” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Volunteers contribute enormously to the success of various functions of Council.<\/p>\n

“Without their generosity, our range of services offered in these areas would be limited and we offer our thanks for their community spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Volunteering involves the day-to-day operations of the Centre, speaking with customers and helping visitors on their holidays.<\/p>\n

“Duties include providing residents and visitors with details of key tourist attractions within the region, local history and information on Council\u2019s facilities and local tourist venues.”<\/p>\n
