Queensland has recorded no new confirmed cases of COVID-19, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

However, the Premier again urged people with any symptoms at all to get tested.<\/p>\n

She said the testing turnaround time for results was about 30 hours because of the large number of swabs being submitted; 8059 tests were done in the past 24 hours – 6278 of those were in areas linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre spike.<\/p>\n

The Premier admitted there had been queues at some testing sites but she thanked people for their patience.<\/p>\n

Health Minister Dr Steve Miles said he had breathed a sigh relief with the news there were no new cases but he warned there was “still a long way to go before we know we have controlled this possible outbreak”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are now 18 active cases in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said there were still the five original cases associated with the Detention Centre staff plus five cases among their immediate households or relatives.<\/p>\n

There were no cases of community transmission so far.<\/p>\n

“It is still a bit early, though, to be seeing those community cases so it is really important that everyone with any symptom at all comes forward and gets tested,” she said.<\/p>\n

Queensland Health released an updated list on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone who has been to any of these locations at these times should monitor their health and, if they develop even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms, get tested.<\/p>\n
