The regional finalists in the prestigious Queensland Training Awards have been announced, and the South Burnett again has a good representation.<\/p>\n

Training Minister Shannon Fentiman congratulated the 221 finalists – including several individuals and organisations from the region – on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The COVID-19 pandemic and gathering restrictions have meant some major changes to this year’s competition.<\/p>\n

Ms Fentiman said the\u00a059th<\/sup> annual Queensland Training Awards would be exclusively online.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe winners from the seven regions will be announced online on September 11 and the State winners on September 18,” Ms Fentiman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe extended the nomination window this year across the 11 regional award categories and received more than 700 nominations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a fantastic field of finalists representing different communities, industries and skills.”<\/p>\n

The 33 finalists in the Darling Downs South West region include a number of local individuals and businesses. <\/strong><\/p>\n

There are three finalists in each category. Local finalists include:<\/p>\n
