Queensland has recorded one new confirmed case of COVID-19 since Sunday – a close associate of a previous case linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0brings the State’s total number of active cases to 18, including the 10 cases linked to the Detention Centre.<\/p>\n

Late on Sunday, Queensland Health released a revised list of\u00a0locations (see below) related to the Wacol cluster.<\/p>\n

Queensland Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young again urged anyone with any symptoms to get tested as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

She also said people in the Greater Brisbane Area should now consider wearing masks if they could not safely socially distance – but she was not going to make it compulsory.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to mandate it because I don\u2019t believe we have broad scale community transfer,\u201d Dr Young said.<\/p>\n

However, she recommended people carry masks with them.<\/p>\n

A total of 6300 tests were carried out on Sunday but authorities want this figure to rise substantially.<\/p>\n
