Kingaroy Police’s popular “Under The Bonnet” safety session for drivers attracted more than 30 people on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The evening featured demonstrations on how to change a tyre, simple vehicle maintenance such as checking the oil and water, and some important tips on road and personal safety.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, had encouraged everyone \u2013 both men and women \u2013 to come along.<\/p>\n

There were a lot of young people – new drivers or soon-to-be drivers – watching intently as the demonstrations took place.<\/p>\n

Several of the free “Under The Bonnet”\u00a0 safety events have been organised by police in Kingaroy and Murgon in recent years with assistance from local car dealers.<\/p>\n
