{"id":27103,"date":"2013-03-21T11:24:27","date_gmt":"2013-03-21T01:24:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=27103"},"modified":"2020-09-23T18:18:24","modified_gmt":"2020-09-23T08:18:24","slug":"nine-selected-for-sb-directions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2013\/03\/21\/nine-selected-for-sb-directions\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine Selected For SB Directions"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_27105\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27105\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/brettheading.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-27105\" title=\"Brett Heading\" src=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/brettheading.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-27105\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brett Heading ... appointed to the South Burnett Directions Steering Committee<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>March 21, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The names of the nine committee members who will help the South Burnett Regional Council shape the economic and tourism development of the region were released today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The members of the steering committee for the new South Burnett Directions group are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Barb Madden &#8211; Smithfield Feedlot<\/li>\n<li>Brett Heading &#8211; McCullough Robertson \/ Clovely Estate<\/li>\n<li>Georgie Somerset &#8211; Somerset Trading Company<\/li>\n<li>Graham Archdall &#8211; Burnett Business Centre<\/li>\n<li>John Carey &#8211; Stanwell Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Ken Mills &#8211; Ken Mills Toyota<\/li>\n<li>Linchon Hawks &#8211; Swickers Bacon Factory<\/li>\n<li>Maryanne Pidcock &#8211; Captains Paddock<\/li>\n<li>Richard Fahy &#8211; Lutheran Community Care Orana<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cCouncil has been overwhelmed with the calibre of people who applied to become members of South Burnett Directions,\u201d Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe received over 20 expressions of interest and a final group of nine people were selected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will be having our first meeting on April 4 to orient the committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;We will then be ready for the official launch of South Burnett Directions in May.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The committee, which will be chaired by the Mayor, was selected by Deputy Mayor Keith Campbell, Cathy Davis (President South Burnett Tourism Association), Sandy Towell (Chairman Nanango Arts Network Alliance), Leo Geraghty (President Murgon Business Association) and Rod Steele (President Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a challenging task to sort through the applications.
