The Nanango & District Netball Association is one of seven local sporting clubs to benefit
from the first round of the new Get Going funding program<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Eight South Burnett sporting clubs have been successful in the first round of the State Government\u2019s \u2018Get Going\u2019 funding program.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington said it was a great achievement for the clubs who will receive grants of up to $10,000 for equipment and activities to increase and sustain memberships.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first round of our government\u2019s \u2018Get Going\u2019 program for sporting clubs and it has been extremely popular, with more than 900 clubs applying statewide,” she said.<\/p>\n

“This funding works together with our grassroots program ‘Get in the Game’ which helps with registration fees for kids who are least able to afford to join a sporting club.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m delighted that seven of our clubs have been successful and I\u2019m sure our local club membership numbers will be bolstered with an array of projects, promotions and courses made possible through Get Going.”<\/p>\n
