Farms on all sides of Murgon were devastated by 2013’s trio of floods but the disasters couldn’t stop the annual Murgon Show going ahead on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Crowd numbers, however, appeared to be down during the hottest part of the day and farm produce entries in the pavilion competitions also seemed to be thin.<\/p>\n

But a large photographic exhibition attracted a lot of attention as did Bubble Muffin, a fun cooking show especially for\u00a05 to 12-year-olds brought up from Victoria.<\/p>\n

The show was officially opened by former Murgon Mayor Bill Roberts.<\/p>\n

The evening’s entertainment featured a Bull and Bronc Rodeo, which is always popular with spectators.<\/p>\n

This National Rodeo Association event included bull rides, saddle rides and bareback rides as well as a barrel race competition and novice and junior events.<\/p>\n
