Pink for a purpose … that was the theme of the Kumbia Kindergarten’s International Women’s Day luncheon held in the Kumbia Memorial Hall last Friday.<\/p>\n

The choir wore pink and most of the guests were either decked out in pink or red to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n

The morning, which was compered by Skye Curtain, is a major fundraiser for the kindergarten.<\/p>\n

Guests enjoyed a hot lunch and dessert while they were entertained by the Sing Australia choir and listened to four guest speakers, all local women who have enjoyed success.<\/p>\n

They were Mrs Juliette Tessmann, from Inverlaw; Cr Cheryl Dalton, from Wooroolin; Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington; and Ironpot author Alice Greenup.<\/p>\n
