New signs will be installed in the outdoor interpretative area at the\u00a0Kingaroy Information Art and Heritage Precinct – and the Heritage Museum windows decorated – thanks to a State Government grant.<\/p>\n

The projects will be funded under Round 3 of the Works for Queensland (W4Q) program.<\/p>\n

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the project would\u00a0give the precinct a new, vibrant look.<\/p>\n

Council has invited the community to help choose six images to be placed on the windows of the former Kingaroy Electric Authority building which houses the Heritage Museum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kingaroy Heritage Museum carries the themes of Power, People and Peanuts. To complement the peanut silos across the road, peanut farming has been chosen as the theme for the images,\u201d Mayor Brett Otto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil is asking the community to vote for their favourite images with the six most popular photos being enlarged and turned into window skins.”<\/p>\n

A display board featuring 12 peanut farming images (see below) has been erected at the Museum. People will be able to vote for their favourite image until next Wednesday (July 29).<\/p>\n

The display will then be shifted to the Kingaroy Library, where votes will be recorded from July 30 to August 6.<\/p>\n

Voting can also be completed on the SBRC website<\/a><\/strong> or Facebook page<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
