Rugby League returned to the South Burnett at the weekend with a full round of junior matches being played as well as an A Grade trial match.<\/p>\n

The round kicked off on Friday night at Cherbourg with the Murgon Mustangs juniors taking on the young Cherbourg Hornets.<\/p>\n

These games were moved forward because of the Murgon Show.<\/p>\n

Murgon’s U14s defeated Cherbourg 38-30 in a close game but the Hornets U16s put in a strong performance against Murgon, defeating them 36-26.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Wondai issued a warning for the rest of the season with a 66-10 win over the Nanango Stags in the senior trial match played at Wondai Sportsground.<\/p>\n

The senior league competition will begin on the weekend after Easter.<\/p>\n
