Nanango Theatre Company is ready to go post-COVID … they just want you!<\/p>\n

The group is currently looking for actors to cast\u00a0for three one-act comedy plays.<\/p>\n

Anne Davoren will be directing “Pastiche” and “Blind Date”; while Jon Fearnley is directing “Short Term Affairs”.<\/p>\n

Casting will be held on Thursday, July 30, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm; and on August 1, from noon at the theatre company’s playhouse on the corner of George and Elk streets.<\/p>\n

Secretary Valerie Mathews said both men and women were wanted, aged from 20 to 70 years.<\/p>\n

The Nanango Theatre Company had planned a large program of events in 2020 to mark their 40th anniversary but the pandemic threw a spanner in the works.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As soon as restrictions are over, the group is planning to resurrect its planned special program.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, it will soon begin hosting movie afternoons using a screen and projector donated by the former Ringsfield Film Society.<\/p>\n

Valerie said the NTC would be showing old films from the National Film Archives.<\/p>\n

Also, on the drawing board were “Poetry, Pizza and Plonk” nights.<\/p>\n

Valerie said members met at the theatre on the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00pm for a general meeting and\u00a0play readings.<\/p>\n
