The South Burnett’s 2020 Relay For Life campaign has been knocked about by the pandemic, but there’s still enthusiastic fundraising happening around the area.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, a group of women tested their artistic skills – and had a whole lot of fun – at a Craft For A Cure day held at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The day was sponsored by Kaisercraft and organised by\u00a0South Burnett Relay For Life chairperson Rowena Dionysius and Kingaroy Office Central\u2019s Susan Robertson.<\/p>\n

Numbers were strictly limited to adhere to social distancing restrictions.<\/p>\n

Using alcohol ink, the attendees made cards, tags, little books and decorated tiles.<\/p>\n

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea \u2013 provided by JC Catering \u2013 were included in the ticket price.<\/p>\n

Rowena said the local Relay For Life committee was waiting to decide what would happen at this year’s relay, whether it would be “virtual” or some other sort of event could be held.<\/p>\n

The decision would depend on what COVID-19 restrictions were in place later in the year.<\/p>\n

UPDATE July 26: Three craft days have now been held, raising a total of $1500 for Relay For Life.<\/strong><\/p>\n
