Agriculture Minister and Member for Maranoa David Littleproud<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

AgForce Qld will receive\u00a0$854,415 from the Federal Government to roll out a program which aims to educate primary schoolchildren about agriculture.<\/p>\n

The grant is part of a\u00a0$4.75 million national program involving State and Territory farming bodies.<\/p>\n

Agriculture Minister David Littleproud announced the successful recipients of the “Educating Kids About Agriculture: Kids to Farms” grant program on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis exciting program will see our State and Territory farming organisations connect our kids with farms and provide them with a real hands-on experience,\u201d Minister Littleproud said.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe want to give our kids a greater understanding of the important role Australia\u2019s thriving agriculture sector plays in our society and these immersive, real life experiences on-farm are sure to spark a life-long love of the land.<\/p>\n

\u201cA key part of this program is to showcase to our kids the breadth of career opportunities available in agriculture.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grants will sponsor primary school visits to farms and other primary production worksites.<\/p>\n

The program will run until June 30, 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
