The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) has introduced a live online platform to reach out to growers.<\/p>\n

Instead of face-to-face GRDC updates, the latest research is being shared via a series of livestreamed events designed to help farmers make informed decisions to improve profitability.<\/p>\n

GRDC Grower Relations Manager (North) Richard Holzknecht said while the delivery format had changed, the latest paddock-ready recommendations and relevant research insights remained firmly on the agenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowers and agronomists have come to rely on the GRDC Updates to inform their tactical decision-making during the cropping season and beyond, so it is imperative they continue to have access to new research information,\u201d Mr Holzknecht said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the continuing social distancing restrictions of COVID-19, we made the decision to stream a series of online events directly to growers, agronomists and researchers.”<\/p>\n

A webinar for peanut and soybean growers has been organised for Thursday, August 27.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This will cover new research in peanuts (presented by Neil Halpin from DAF Qld);\u00a0 three\u00a0new varieties of soybeans; and target spot and anthracnose diseases in soybeans.<\/p>\n

As well,\u00a0GRDC has organised a series of online events for northern NSW and Queensland growers which will be held at 9:00am on Tuesdays from July 14 to August 25:<\/p>\n
