A semi-trailer was briefly jammed against a shop awning in Nanango this morning after trying to drive into Drayton Street via a side lane.<\/p>\n

The refrigerated van struck the awning of Raine and Horne at 82 Drayton Street.<\/p>\n

Nanango businesswoman Jane Erkens said it wasn’t the first time a truck had come unstuck trying to use Nanango’s back lanes.<\/p>\n

She said the awning of her building, Nanango Real Estate, had been struck many times and the council flowerbeds in the centre of the street had also been damaged recently.<\/p>\n

“These big trucks really shouldn’t be using the laneways,” she told southburnett.com.au <\/strong>this morning.<\/p>\n

“My building has been quite damaged at times, and we’ve had to fix it on a number of occasions.”<\/p>\n

A police spokesman said a street awning and a refrigerated trailer had been damaged in this morning’s incident.<\/p>\n
