Toowoomba Regional Council says Yarraman’s community infrastructure will receive more than $835,000 in upgrades this year.<\/p>\n

The Council will spend $415,000 to fund new change rooms and a new ramp at Yarraman’s swimming pool and\u00a0$420,000 to upgrade the Yarraman landfill to a waste transfer station.<\/p>\n

TRC will also spend funds on safety improvement and renewal works at Barry Cunning Park as part of its Play Facilities Renewal Program.<\/p>\n

Some Yarraman residents may also be invited to take part in the Council’s Smart Water Meter Program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This will allow them to monitor their water usage and identify leaks through new smart meter technology.<\/p>\n

Council is testing the Smart Water Meters in an effort to refine its water management practices.<\/p>\n

The announcements were made as part of the Council’s 2020-21 Budget, released on Monday.<\/p>\n

Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio said the Council’s solid financial footing had allowed it to bring down a $567 million budget, which includes a $215 million capital program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
