{"id":259500,"date":"2020-06-11T12:30:09","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T02:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=259500"},"modified":"2020-09-17T15:59:45","modified_gmt":"2020-09-17T05:59:45","slug":"free-counselling-for-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2020\/06\/11\/free-counselling-for-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Counselling For Businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_234471\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-234471\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-234471\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/mccormack1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/mccormack1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/mccormack1-190x300.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-234471\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Deputy PM Michael McCormack (Photo: Twitter)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>June 11, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Federal Government announced on Thursday that it will commit more than $4.7 million to provide small regional businesses with access to free and confidential financial counselling.<\/p>\n<p>The funding is part of the government\u2019s $1 billion Relief and Recovery Fund which is delivering targeted assistance to regions, communities and industry sectors that have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack said the Rural Financial Counselling Service could support hundreds of regional small businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today\u2019s announcement is another step forward in regional Australia\u2019s economic recovery from this pandemic, with more investment in the industries and businesses hardest hit,&#8221; Mr McCormack said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The service will also create jobs for small business financial counsellors and support workers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This builds on our previously announced support for regional aviation and air freight, export industries, the arts industry and tourism businesses.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agriculture Minister David Littleproud said the funding would help eligible small businesses access the immediate advice and assistance they needed to keep afloat and navigate the road to recovery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Small businesses are the lifeblood of our regional communities and we know that many are struggling through drought and trying to recover from this season&#8217;s devastating bushfires,&#8221; Mr Littleproud said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This measure is designed to ensure that businesses remain resilient through the COVID-19 downturn and are able to rebound when normal trading conditions resume.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This funding is in addition to the $7 million already provided for small business financial counselling services in drought-affected communities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>More information is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regional.gov.au\/regional\/programs\/covid-19-relief-and-recovery-fund.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Australian Government announced on Thursday that it will commit more than $4.7 million to provide small regional businesses with access to free and confidential financial counselling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":273779,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[5,1455,3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
