on Wednesday morning<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>June 10, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kingaroy RSL Club is back in business after the COVID-19 shutdown but with a few new rules in place plus a $50,000 kitchen renovation.<\/p>\n<p>The club reopened its doors to customers at 10:30am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Under the current Health Directions, 20 patrons are allowed in the downstairs Tobruk Room, 20 in the Milne Bay bistro area and 12 in the White Room.<\/p>\n<p>The poker machine area is still closed however Keno is up and running.<\/p>\n<p>The club is open for meals and coffees, but there will be no standing around the bar &#8230; bar staff will be offering table service.<\/p>\n<p>Customers will be greeted at the club&#8217;s doors and escorted to a table, where they will fill in a form providing their contact details.<\/p>\n<p>The club will also be opening on restricted hours, 10:30am to 8:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Club vice-president Mike Barrett said the COVID-19 closure had provided an opportunity to renovate the kitchen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New wall panels have been installed as well as tiles on the floor and stainless steel splashbacks behind the stoves.<\/p>\n<p>The electricity supply and gas fittings have also been upgraded.<\/p>\n<p>There have also been upgrades in the bistro area, with protection strips installed along the walls and a fresh coat of paint in the cafe.<\/p>\n<p>Mike said the staff were looking forward to welcoming back customers to the club.<\/p>\n<p>The first few through the door on Wednesday included a small party of guests invited by RSL Sub-Branch members to mark the reopening, including former South Burnett mayor Keith Campbell and his wife Marion.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Nanango RSL Club will open its doors to the public at 11:00am on on Tuesday, June 16.\u00a0It will also be operating under a COVID Safe plan, with a maximum of 20 people in each area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Murgon Services Club has stated it will reopen on July 10, or earlier if the State Government brings forward Stage 3 of the COVID-19 recovery roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>Wondai Diggers Club is offering takeaway meals on Friday and Saturday nights but has no immediate plans to re-open before Stage 3.<\/p>\n<p>Blackbutt RSL Club is undergoing renovations and does not plan to
