Two people will face charges and police are searching for a third after an incident in Nanango on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Senior Constable Marcus Hooper, from Nanango police, said officers spotted a suspicious vehicle at the Nanango BP service station on the D’Aguilar Highway about 11:30am.<\/p>\n

The maroon 2008 Holden Commodore sedan – which had no registration plates – then allegedly sped off, heading towards East Nanango.<\/p>\n

Nanango and Kingaroy police located the vehicle soon afterwards in the Mercer-Springate \/ Brights roads area, where they saw two men flee into bushland.<\/p>\n

Police gave chase on foot and a 19-year-old Nanango man was taken into custody at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police are still searching for the second man, the alleged driver of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

He is described as Caucasian, aged in his mid-20s, of slight build with short dark hair. He is about 170cm tall and was wearing dark clothes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Const Hooper said anyone who saw the man should contact Nanango Police on (07) 4171-6333 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000.<\/p>\n

Police are also keen to speak to anyone who saw the Commodore leaving the BP service station or speeding through suburban streets.<\/p>\n

Snr Const Hooper said police had confirmed no firearms were involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

A 30-year-old Benarkin North woman, who was arrested near the BP garage, has been charged with drug-related offences after police allegedly found GHB and drug utensils in her bag.<\/p>\n

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 6 charged with possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils, and failing to dispose of a syringe.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old man will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on July 16 charged with breaching bail.<\/p>\n

The third man remains outstanding, however is known to police.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
