The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) has lowered its readiness status in line with the State Government’s relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n

The group held its fortnightly meeting on Tuesday (June 2) where it reviewed the accelerated introduction of Stage 2 of the State Government\u2019s “Roadmap to Recovery”.<\/p>\n

South Burnett LDMG chair Cr Roz Frohloff said that as a result of the amendment to restrictions, the LDMG would reduce its status back to “Alert” from “Stand Up”.<\/p>\n

\u201cKey agencies within the LDMG will continue to meet on a regular basis to ensure the group remains aware and prepared should there be any further cases of COVID-19 within the South Burnett,\u201d Cr Frohloff said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition, the Human & Social and Economic Sub-Group will remain engaged with the South Burnett Local Disaster Recovery Group to officially move to \u2018Lean Forward\u2019, and continue to assist with the co-ordination and communications for community recovery as required.<\/p>\n
