Red Earth Community Foundation (RECF) and Burnett Inland Economic\u00a0Development Organisation (BIEDO) are teaming up to host a series of conversations to talk about\u00a0what we\u2019ve gained from the COVID-19 experience in the Inland Burnett.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile COVID\u201019 has been difficult for many businesses, others have experienced growth and new\u00a0opportunities that they will build upon. Unplanned change is often the catalyst for a better future,\u201d\u00a0RECF chair Georgie Somerset said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo build upon the great work BIEDO has been doing during Queensland Small Business Month, and\u00a0the momentum that is building for a stronger Inland Burnett, we are hosting conversations with local, State and national leaders, to talk about these opportunities and how we can work together to gain\u00a0the most for the Inland Burnett.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first conversation will be with Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and CEO of Everledger, Leanne\u00a0Kemp, alongside local business owners Stephanie Whitaker (Burnett Livestock & Realty) and Todd\u00a0Fiedler (Fiedler Brothers Plumbing).<\/p>\n

\u201cThese virtual sessions are being hosted via Zoom, and all are welcome to attend and join the\u00a0conversation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe know the greatest resource we have in our communities is our people. The stories of growth and\u00a0purposeful change in many of our lives started with kitchen table or campfire conversations.<\/p>\n

“We must\u00a0keep having these conversations as a community, and our speakers will help us see through their eyes\u00a0and experiences the opportunity to work together as we emerge from COVID\u201019.”<\/p>\n

The first session will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 5:00pm for a 5:15pm start, through until 6:30pm.<\/p>\n

Mrs Somerset said everyone was welcome to join the session, or simply listen in.<\/p>\n
