Staff at St John\u2019s Lutheran School were presented with new-look name badges this week which feature the school’s new name and new logo.<\/p>\n

The changes reflect the move into Junior Secondary education from next year.<\/p>\n

Principal Mrs Helen Folker said from the beginning of this year the school had deleted the word “Primary” from its official name.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis name change represents an exciting new chapter in our school\u2019s history as we move into offering Year 8 next year and Years 7, 8 and 9 from 2015,” she said.<\/p>\n

“It has been wonderful to see how parents have supported this opportunity within our school community by taking up the enrolment offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have also been encouraged as we have received inquiries from families who are not presently enrolled in the school regarding our Junior Secondary program.<\/p>\n

“We certainly welcome any families who are interested in having a look around to see what we offer.<\/p>\n

“Our school logo has also been redesigned and while it continues to incorporate our original images, it has a fresh new look.<\/p>\n

“Next year our school will celebrate 25 years of providing education in the South Burnett and the expansion into Junior Secondary is a great time to recognise the school\u2019s growth over that period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

New admin staff member Mrs Clare Fitz-Herbert said she was thrilled to receive her new badge which reflected the changes ahead.<\/p>\n
