COVID-19 can’t stop the RSPCA from running its annual desexing campaign, “Operation: Wanted”.<\/p>\n

About 140 veterinary practices across Queensland have signed up for this year’s three-month campaign, which kicks off on June 1.<\/p>\n

Pet owners are already starting to register online.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had a terrific reaction from Queensland residents and we\u2019d like to thank participating vets and the many local councils for their support,”\u00a0RSPCA Qld spokesperson Michael Beatty said.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s the vets and the shire councils who help drive the campaign and make it a success.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the campaign, participating vets will reduce their desexing fees by 20 per cent.<\/p>\n

Last year an estimated 10,000 extra animals were desexed as a direct result of the campaign.<\/p>\n
