Former Health Minister Mike Horan AM has been reappointed chair of the\u00a0Darling Downs Hospital and Health Board.<\/p>\n

Mr Horan’s reappointment was announced on Wednesday by Deputy Premier and Health Minister Steven Miles.<\/p>\n

The number of Board members has also been increased to 10, with\u00a0Associate Professor Maree Toombs, from the University of Queensland, joining.<\/p>\n

Dr Miles said Prof Julie Cotter and Dr Ruth Terwijn had also been reappointed to the Board for another term.<\/p>\n

Vacancies on the various Health Boards across Queensland come due at staggered intervals to encourage continuity in decision-making.<\/p>\n

The other positions on the\u00a0Darling Downs Hospital and Health Board remain unchanged.<\/p>\n

The new Board, effective from May 18, consists of: <\/strong><\/p>\n

            • Marie Pietsch (Southern Downs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Megan O\u2019Shannessy (Western Downs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • Dr Ruth Terwijn (Toowoomba)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • Prof Julie Cotter (Toowoomba)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • Assoc Prof Maree Toombs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
