Toowoomba Regional Council is reopening playgrounds, skate parks, outdoor gyms and barbecue areas from Saturday – but gathering restrictions will apply.<\/p>\n

The re-opening is in line with the State Government\u2019s Roadmap to Easing COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n

Mayor Paul Antonio said the easing of restrictions was an acknowledgement of the commitment of the community to abiding by State and Federal Government public health directions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe re-opening of our playgrounds, skate parks, outdoor gyms and barbecue areas is a step towards the return to normality,\u201d Mayor Antonio said.<\/p>\n

\u201cUsers will still need to adhere to relevant Queensland Health requirements with a maximum gathering of 10 persons permitted under Stage 1 easing of restrictions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDespite COVID-19 closures, Council parks have remained open and continue to be an excellent outlet for a walk, a picnic or to kick a football with members of your household.<\/p>\n
