Kingaroy Police have charged three people with various offences following an incident during which a police car was damaged.<\/p>\n

At about 10:20pm on Tuesday, police received information that an allegedly stolen Toyota Corolla was approaching Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The vehicle, which disappeared from Urangan between April 30 and May 2, was being tracked via GPS.<\/p>\n

Police say they located the vehicle on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road and attempted to intercept, however the driver accelerated away at high speed.<\/p>\n

At 12:10am on Wednesday, police received information the vehicle was now parked at a Kurtellen Crescent address.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police located the vehicle parked inside a garage.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said two women were at the house, as well as two men allegedly hiding in the main bedroom – one on top of the other.<\/p>\n

A 31-year-old Point Vernon woman allegedly tried to reverse the Corolla through the garage door, causing extensive damage to the door and striking a police vehicle parked in the driveway.<\/p>\n

She then allegedly tested positive at a roadside drug test; a\u00a0search also allegedly located a small quantity of amphetamine and drug utensils.<\/p>\n

Three people were due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Wednesday:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A 28-year-old Maryborough man charged with stealing a motor vehicle, evading police and unlicensed driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • A 30-year-old Clinton woman charged with stealing a motor vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • A 31-year-old Point Vernon woman charged with stealing a motor vehicle, possession of a dangerous drug and drug utensils, breach of bail, obstructing police, dangerous driving while adversely affected, and drug driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
