There are no known active cases of COVID-19 in the Darling Downs Health area following the recovery of the 42nd confirmed patient in the region at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Queensland Health reported zero active cases in the Darling Downs on Saturday.<\/p>\n

One new case was reported statewide on both Saturday and Sunday, taking the Queensland total of confirmed cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began to 1035.<\/p>\n

There are 53 active cases: nine patients are in hospital, including four in intensive care.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The remainder of the active cases are recovering at home.<\/p>\n

A total of 976 Queenslanders (94 per cent of total cases) have now recovered from the viral disease; 115,598 tests have been undertaken in Queensland, with 1990 done during the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Investigations have determined that 798 of the 1035 cases acquired the disease overseas; 174 acquired it in Queensland after close contact with a confirmed case; and 18 acquired it interstate.<\/p>\n

Forty-three cases have no known contact and two are still under investigation.<\/p>\n

Nationally, there has been 6801 confirmed cases, including 95 deaths;\u00a064 per cent of infections were acquired overseas while 36 per cent were acquired locally (including\u00a010 per cent\u00a0from an unknown source.) More than 5700 patients have recovered.<\/p>\n
