Pumpkin rollers … you can take take your veges into the virtual world this year!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Great Australian Pumpkin Roll – which was to go ahead on May 31 before COVID-19 came along – is going virtual!<\/p>\n

The organisers of the annual Goomeri Pumpkin Festival announced this week that people can still roll a pumpkin in 2020 – not down Policeman’s Hill, but in the safety of their own homes.<\/p>\n

And there will still be great prizes to be won.<\/p>\n

“Think up your weirdest and wackiest method and location to roll your pumpkin and send us the video,” the team from the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival said.<\/p>\n

“Let us see what you\u2019ve got! Roll a pumpkin on the sofa, roll a pumpkin on the bed or in your backyard. The most creative pumpkin roll will win.<\/p>\n

“Entries will be viewed by two independent judges who will decide the best and most creative pumpkin roll.<\/p>\n

“We will also have a People\u2019s Choice prize. The video with the most likes will win.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prizes for the “Virtual Great Australian Pumpkin Roll” include a perpetual trophy,\u00a0an accommodation voucher for a two-night cabin stay at\u00a0Barambah Bush Caravan Park, a $50 gift voucher from the\u00a0Goomeri Emporium and a $30 morning tea voucher from The Goomeri Bakery.<\/p>\n

The People\u2019s Choice winner will receive a $50\u00a0gift voucher from the\u00a0Goomeri Emporium and a $30 morning tea voucher from The Goomeri Bakery.<\/p>\n

To enter, post a video on the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival Facebook page<\/a><\/strong> or email it (more information is available on the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival website<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n
