Ahead of the Easter holidays, students and teachers at St Mary’s Catholic College toiled in the school’s kitchen to bring some smiles to local workers.<\/p>\n

They mixed up and baked batches of Anzac biscuits “full of love” to give to employees at pharmacies in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

“We as a College community wanted to bring some smiles of joy to others,” principal\u00a0Carmel O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n

“Our pharmacies along with other businesses have been working tirelessly to keep up with the demand on what our community needs and we felt they needed to be recognised for their efforts.<\/p>\n

“We hope that our acts of kindness have brought some smiles and joyful moments to all our pharmacy small businesses here in Kingaroy.”<\/p>\n

The school also shared a poem by David Harris which has been doing the rounds on social media and seems very appropriate in these trying times:<\/p>\n

A simple act of kindness can stop a million tears.
\n<\/em>A little hug can give so much joy.
\n<\/em>A letter now and then to someone can save so many wasted years.
\n<\/em>We should hold every moment precious
\n<\/em>And help as many as we can
\n<\/em>With a simple act of kindness every now and then.
\n<\/em> The world would be a better place
\n<\/em>If we all cared a little more.
\n<\/em>Imagine how many smiling faces
\n<\/em>W<\/em>ould greet us at the door
\n<\/em>If we extended that helping hand
\n<\/em>With a simple act of kindness
\n<\/em>T<\/em>hat could spread across many lands.<\/em><\/p>\n
