There have now been 625 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Queensland, Queensland Health announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n

This is up 70 on Friday’s total.<\/p>\n

The total number of confirmed cases in the Darling Downs Health Region has risen by four to 21.<\/p>\n

“These cases are split between Toowoomba, Kingaroy and Warwick,” a Darling Downs Health spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“The community can rest assured that contact tracing is under way, which means we are directly contacting people considered to be at risk.<\/p>\n

“Please follow the recommended advice from us and our Federal counterparts in regards to social distancing, public gatherings, and general wellbeing.<\/p>\n

“Critically, make sure you are practicing good hygiene and staying home if you\u2019re sick.<\/p>\n

“Washing your hands properly and often is the gold standard of health advice that can help prevent viruses from entering your body.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the Wide Bay Health Region, the number is 16 – the same as yesterday.<\/p>\n

The areas with the largest number of confirmed cases continue to be Metro North (178), Metro South (152), Gold Coast (114) and Sunshine Coast (69).<\/p>\n

At 6:30am, Saturday, the total number of positive cases across Australia was 3378 and 13 people have died.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There have been 212 new cases since 3:00pm on Friday.<\/p>\n

More than 196,000 tests have been conducted across Australia.<\/p>\n
