The State Government released details on Tuesday of a $4 billion support package to help Queenslanders get through the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n

The package includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A $300 million household relief package, including $200 off utility bills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • A refund of two months\u2019 worth of payroll tax for small and medium businesses and large businesses specifically impacted by COVID-19.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • A\u00a0 three-month payroll tax holiday and a six-month payroll tax deferral for small and medium businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \u201cCombined with the payroll tax deferrals we\u2019ve already announced, it means no Queensland business impacted by COVID-19 will need to make a payroll tax payment this year,” Treasurer Jackie Trad said.<\/p>\n

        The package also includes up to $500 million to help\u00a0 workers who lose their job or income to find jobs in the industries that are vital to getting us through this crisis: health care, agriculture, food production, transport, cleaning and mining.<\/p>\n

        \u201cWe\u2019re waiving liquor licencing fees for venues that have had to close their doors, providing rent relief for businesses who rent premises from the State Government and giving sole traders, small and medium businesses a $500 rebate on their power bill for this year,” Ms Trad said.<\/p>\n

        Health Minister Steven Miles said an extra $1.2 billion would also be used to expand:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Fever clinics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Emergency department capacity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Acute care services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
