{"id":254572,"date":"2020-03-13T15:08:48","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T05:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=254572"},"modified":"2020-03-16T13:06:52","modified_gmt":"2020-03-16T03:06:52","slug":"do-you-know-where-to-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2020\/03\/13\/do-you-know-where-to-vote\/","title":{"rendered":"Do You Know Where To Vote?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>March 13, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wondering where to vote in the upcoming Council elections?<\/p>\n<p>Voting is compulsory in all Local Government elections, and residents may be fined if they don&#8217;t vote.<\/p>\n<p>Check your\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/check.aec.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enrolment details online<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to see what Council area you live in and what Division (it is now too late to enrol for this election if you&#8217;re not already on the electoral roll).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voters have a choice of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applying for a postal vote (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/results.elections.qld.gov.au\/Events\/ElectorSearch?EventID=593&amp;EventType=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apply online<\/a><\/strong> before 7:00pm on Monday, March 16)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Voting early (see list of sites, below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Voting on election day (see list of polling booths, below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>Where To Vote Early\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em>Early voting will start at most centres on Monday, March 16, and run until Friday, March 27.
