A fence will be erected around the historic tanker in Railway Park at Yarraman, thanks to a grant from the Toowoomba Regional Council<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yarraman and Cooyar community groups are among 47 organisations which will receive grants under Round 2 of Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s 2019-20 Community Grants program.<\/p>\n

Environment and Community Services General Manager Nick Hauser said applications totalling $227,200.96 were approved as part of the latest round.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe program is open to the community two times a year and provides assistance to community organisations throughout the Toowoomba Region,” Mr Hauser said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor anyone interested in applying in an upcoming round, please speak with our officers for guidance around applications.\u201d<\/p>\n

Successful grants, which were either partially or fully approved, include:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Community Economic Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Cooyar Progress Association Inc (Artwork, printing, approvals and installation of tourism and community information sign)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Yarraman Business Group Inc (Festival at the end of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Community Support<\/strong><\/p>\n
