A day after the LNP vowed to come down tough on young offenders, the State\u00a0Government has announced sweeping changes to crack down on youth crime.<\/p>\n

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said on Tuesday she had listened to the community and had acted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe acknowledge that local communities and their families have concerns about youth crime,\u201d the Premier said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere there is crime there must be punishment.\u00a0Criminals \u2013 especially young ones \u2013 should fear the law<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has to be crystal clear to everybody community safety comes first.\u201d<\/p>\n
